With how hard it was raining, Antinous could barely see the other apartment buildings, or the trees that covered the grounds of the apartment’s shitty attempt at a courtyard.
“You sure you wanna drive home in this rain, wolfie? You seem really tired.”
Telemachus shifted slightly, and his warmth spread through Antinous’s body, heating him up like a warm hearth. “I should. I don’t want to impose…” he murmured, but his voice lacked conviction. “But.. you’re right. I’m exhausted. And the rain is awful.”
Antinous felt a surge of relief. He wasn't eager to see Telemachus brave the storm, especially in his current state.
"Stay," he said.

Antinous blinked, momentarily thrown. “What?” he asked, confused. “I just asked about your birthday.”
Telemachus sighed and rolled his eyes. He shifted on the couch, his fingers stopping their ministrations in Antinous’s hair. “It’s nothing,” he mumbled, though his tone clearly said otherwise. He wrung his hands together, still staring out the window like it was going to save him from this conversation.
“It’s obviously not nothing.” Antinous pushed himself up into a sitting position. He crossed his arms, giving Telemachus a pointed look. “You sigh like I just told you we’re out of coffee, and then you roll your eyes at me which you never do. What’s the deal?”
Telemachus shot him a withering look. He paused, then muttered, almost under his breath, “I… don’t like celebrating my birthday.”

Alternatively, Antinous finds out Telemachus doesn’t celebrate his birthday. He takes it personally.

“Besides,” Eurymachus says, breaking Antinous’ train of thought and walking over to him. His shadow casts over Antinous’ body and he looks up at the nude man. “There’s nowhere else I’d get free food.”
That’s not it. They both know it isn’t. As much as they’d like to deny it, the only reason they’re staying at this gods forsaken palace is for each other.
But they’re too cowardly to admit it out loud. Words are impossible, their actions easier.
Antinous sits up, eyeing Eurymachus with doubt. “Oh? Is that all?” He flashes his teeth.
Eurymachus raises an eyebrow. “What else could there be?”
Me. But he doesn’t say that.
