Summary
Aliona Kostornaia, Alexandra Trusova, and Anna Shcherbakova are not exactly thriving. Their private investigation company, “Axel Agencies”, is on the brink of bankruptcy. Work is scarce, and it seems like they are repelling clients for no reason. That is, until a single phone call from a desperate woman named Alina Zagitova changes everything: Alina’s girlfriend, Evgenia, has mysteriously disappeared.
And overnight, Axel Agencies has gone from struggling to stay afloat to dealing with a haunting missing person’s case.

“You messed up on the cross-examination again. You’ll never make it past double-eliminations at tournament if you keep lashing out like this.” Anna hummed, eyes glittering with something similar to amusement as she shook Sasha’s hand.
Sasha’s grip tightened. For a moment, she was compelled to squeeze Anna’s hand tighter and tighter until it snapped. “Oh, and you will? Please. You won’t even make it to the first set of elims. You never show any passion. Judges like to see that, you know.”
Anna scoffed. “I’m plenty passionate.”
“Next round. Now. I’m going to fucking destroy you, Shcherbakova,” Sasha hissed, green eyes blazing.
