Summary
He whirled around to see an older man, dressed in the standard white garb of a Fortunan but with his hood down. The man’s hair was a pale white, which he didn’t seem quite old enough for but it was definitely not Nero’s place to say anything about white hair, and his face was calm yet severe, halfway to a grimace already even before Nero could open his mouth.
Instead of saying anything though, the man just stared as he dropped his hand. Nero gave him a few seconds before scowling, “What’re you looking at?”
After a further moment of silence, the man finally said, “My apologies. You seemed to be looking for something.”

or, vergil somehow washes up on fortuna at about the same time as the yamato, body still intact but mind in shatters. he still ends up with a messy family reunion, though at least this time, it's definitely not his fault.

She turns to the hotel staff who helped them with their bags—a young red-headed man with blue eyes and freckles dotting his cheeks. Beautiful in the way men rarely wished to be. He smiles placidly.
"Is there anything else I can do for you while I'm here?"
"No. You are—" she inhales, attention sharpening as she realizes the man had just asked her a question in flawless Japanese. She thumbs at the hilt of her sword, mind racing to figure out which of their enemies has enough influence and motive to send someone after them across the ocean. Outwardly, she holds her face in the same stern countenance she always wears. "You speak Japanese?"

She had needed to be patient to pull this off, staking out her old HQ until the demons inevitably took the opportunity to attack it.
In the chaos, she had slipped inside, dodging demons and Darkcom agents alike until she was able to eventually make her way to where she now stood.
Gunfire and screams still echoed from the halls outside the room, but she ignored them and strode over to the controls of the cryostasis pod.
Punching in the command sequence, she started running defrost procedures.

Summary
After the events of Temen-ni-gru, the Sparda family settled into demon hunting out of the Devil May Cry. With time passing, it seems that they can be assured in their strength and safety. However, Mundus doesn't let debts go unpaid and manages to get his hands on one of Sparda's sons.
While the other immediately leaves to find his brother, old faces turn up and danger comes to even the youngest in Sparda's line.
