Summary
Soul marks manifest as identical symbols shared between a bonded group; not always romantic, not always a pair, and deeply culturally misunderstood. Yuugi has carried his mark (a small, intricate glyph resembling an upside-down pyramid bisected by a winged eye) on the inside of his left wrist since birth, kept hidden under his cuff. He assumed it was dormant. He assumed wrong.

I love you, he wants to say, wants to say with his entire heart. And he knows he’ll mean it, feels it in every bone in this foreign body, in the blood pumping through his veins, the breaths that still feel too loud and too fragile after so long without them.

Summary
“Look at me,” demands Keith—pleads, he thinks—and doesn’t pause to see if Shiro does. “I don’t deserve to say it. I didn’t deserve to say it, but you deserved to know. You deserved to hear it. Do you believe me? You believed me then. I saw it.”
“That—” Shiro exhales. He swallows, hard. “That wasn’t me.”
“Yeah,” agrees Keith. “But you heard me, anyway.”
