He lost the fight. He couldn't focus—couldn't think about anything besides Albrecht. He would be alright, physically, apart from the purple and red bruises mottling his chest. But where was he mentally? How soon until he tried again—how soon until Friedrich wasn’t there to pull him away from the brink? Heinrich’s ultimatum still stood: Albrecht would be leaving for the Eastern front, it was just a matter of time. He had to see him—had to talk to him before it was too late.
Or: Friedrich pulls Albrecht from the frozen lake. He lives. But they’re not safe at school, not with the fates which await them.

Summary
Ted Logan hasn't been home for the holidays since his father sent him away to military school his junior year. His dad and Deacon have always come up to Alaska to visit - but this year, Chet needs help moving, and Deacon won't be coming home, so Ted returns to San Dimas for the first time in 14 years, his daughter Billie in tow. Meanwhile, Bill is usually too busy with his successful career as a session musician to make it home for Hanukkah, but this year, he was determined to give his daughter Thea a real Preston Family Hanukkah. Being home always makes him think about Ted - but he hasn't heard anything from him in years. Will a little holiday magic be all it takes to bring the two old friends back together? Or will their busy lives and long distance pull them apart again once Christmas is over?

Das gilt nicht nur für Alice und ihren Weg durch das Wunderland — sondern auch für Vincent, der plötzlich einer tiefgreifenden Eifersucht gegenübersieht.
Zu jedem Theaterstück gehört eine ordentliche Portion Drama. Doch dass Vincent ausgerechnet am Abend der großen Schultheateraufführung eine völlig neue Seite an sich entdecken würde, kam für alle unerwartet.
