It did not matter what Aerys thought about the name. If it was the name of the person solely made to be Baelor's other half, then everything about them was for Baelor's sake. Not for Aerys', nor for his opinions. Dunk surely was the greatest, kindest, and most honourable person in the world.

Having watched two of his brothers suffer with the Bloodfyre curse through the Blackfyre rebellion. He kept his eyes out for someone who would be able to help the next generation of Targaryen Princes through their flames. Someone whose blood calls out to them with song or smell.
Lucky for him, Valarr and Daeron sniffed out a tall boy with copper hair; hopefully, one of his knights will have need of a poor boy from Fleabottom.Crack/Short Summary: Only Valyrians have A/b/o dynamics. Dunk is a common-born dragon seed alpha ( Perzyslyka). Baelor uses Dunk as a prized breeding stallion for his three pretty princes.
