Summary
The war is cold, it's cruel but mostly it's lonely.
Hermione and Harry knew what they were doing when they were doing it, they knew what they had done after they'd done it but they couldn't bring themselves to regret it. But they also refused to acknowledge it, it was their secret to keep.
Ten years later, Harry is getting a divorce and during the process, he reaches out to Hermione. Hermione, still hurt over his actions, can't bring herself to refuse, even if it kills her.
What Hermione doesn't like talking about is how even after a war is over, she still feels that crushing loneliness.
