Summary
on patrol from jackson, joel miller finds a woman in the forest with her daughter. while she's too-thin, sleep-deprived, her clothes are rags, and she's bruised/battered, her six year old daughter is almost a perfect condition of health. joel convinces them to come to jackson, and when the problem of housing arises, offers them a place to stay within his home on rancher street.

"Did you know?" Ellie approached Maeve at a fast pace.
"Hey, Ellie!" The young woman paused her tomato tending and glanced at her sister.
"Did you fucking know?" Her sister's hardened tone alerted her.
"What's wrong-"
"Did. You. Fucking. Know." Ellie hissed.
Maeve straightened up with a pinched expression. "What are you talking about?"
"Don't fucking play with me, Maeve," Ellie glared. "Did. You. Know."
She squared her shoulders. Whatever expression she made, Ellie curled her lips, disdained and she began to back away in horror/fury.
"You knew."Though it's been a couple of years since the downfall of the Fireflies, their memory haunts Joel, TJ, Maeve, and Ellie. They traveled back to Jackson and began a comfortable life, but as the complications begin to rise, a group of strangers happen to stumble upon the town.
