He didn’t think anything could feel worse.
And even if it did, he could just fall asleep and he wouldn’t have to feel a thing.
Tyler remembers the texture of the pine tree bark. He remembers how similar it felt to asphalt: scratchy, rough, unforgiving. He remembers his weight exceeding that of the trees and the branch giving way. He thinks he hears it snap before he feels it. He thinks he feels it before he falls. He thinks he’ll fall forever. He thinks, as the entirety of his internal organs are bleeding and rupturing in a way he’s helpless to stop, that this is not a very easy place to fall asleep.

Summary
This is the sequel to Adrenaline Junkie! That being said, if you haven't read Adrenaline Junkie, you won't be missing too much context so don't worry. This takes place in an AU where no one has died in the phantom realm yet. As a result, their parents also do not know about their situation yet!
Ashlyn is stranded with Aiden for ten days on a mandatory field trip for the student leadership club they joined at the start of the year. It's nothing short of a suicide mission, but Aiden's parents are forcing him to go; and Ashlyn tags along with the sole objective to get them both back alive.
OR
Aiden fears his parents more than death itself, so he has no choice but to go on a suicide mission. Ashlyn refuses to let him go alone, and in the spiraling disaster that follows, he is forced to confront the only thing he fears more than death and his parents combined.COMPLETE!!! :D

Aiden doesn't like thinking. He also doesn't like disappointing his friends (especially Ashlyn.) Unfortunately, this time, he has to do both--and when he tries to avoid it, it nearly costs him everything.

Aiden's failing his classes, and his parents issue him an ultimatum; either he gets at least Cs in all his classes by the end of the grading period, or he loses his allowance. That is, the allowance that he and the others rely on for supplies--and right now, they really need gas for their next expedition with the jeep.Takes place in a sort of AU where Tyler did not die during their encounter with the centipede phantom, and Aiden did not die in the school building (they have not gone to the school yet.) As a result, their parents also do not know about the phantom realm yet and they're still trying to drive to Savannah.
