Summary
They passed near an alley. Peter stopped immediately at the sound of a metallic clang; his senses were screaming something at him that he couldn't understand.
His breathing quickened; he felt the noise getting closer and closer, but he hadn't moved. Everything around him went blurry as he heard more noise.
Her daughter carefully hid behind him. Peter went pale and his hands ached. But he took a step forward, ready for anything. The noise lessened; something vibrated in the walls and he felt suffocated. But he still stood there; the girl was holding him tight, so he didn't move anymore.
The moans grew quieter and there was a loud crash in the alley.
"Damn it, please don't let it be a ghost, please don't let it be a ghost."
