J’onn floated into the room with a datapad in hand. “The system already recognizes him as an active member.”
“You already added him?” Hal asked Bruce incredulously. “We just had this discussion.”
Bruce looked down at the datapad in hand. “Is that a problem? I knew you’d be adding him.”
Barry let out a disbelieving laugh. “So you argued against it…while already putting him in the system?”
“I argued against it,” Bruce corrected, “but the outcome was inevitable.” He stood and turned toward the console. “Orientation begins in five minutes,” he said, already moving—like the conversation had ended whether they agreed or not.
Barry looked like he might actually short-circuit. “Five minutes?” he repeated, voice pitching up. “We just found out he’s already—he’s in the system, Batman!”
Batman has always believed distance keeps people safe. Then Nightwing starts working alongside him again, and suddenly the careful line between them begins unraveling in front of the entire Justice League.
What starts as quiet suspicion slowly becomes impossible to ignore: Batman and Nightwing aren’t just partners. Bruce just isn’t ready for everyone else to realize it yet.

Clark’s blood runs cold.
The room erupts— chairs scraping, voices overlapping, Barry swearing. Hal demanding answers, Arthur already moving for the exit. Diana’s hand is on her sword. J’onn’s mind reaches out instinctively, alarm rippling through him. Clark can’t hear any of it. All he can think is dead, echoing over and over, and the fact that it came from a child’s mouth.
“Robin,” Clark manages, fingers digging into the console, “what do you mean—“
“Ohmagosh, calm down! It’s a Taylor Swift song. Are you guys so old you don’t know? That’s sad.”
Or, Batman is a Justice League consultant and can’t come to the phone.

It was supposed to be a chill day. 'Supposed' being the key word in that sentence. So why the BRICK did everything suddenly become ten times more chaotic than a regular day as the Monkie Kid?!
They were just meant to go and see one of Macaque’s shadow play’s - to prove to Pigsy and Tang that the monkey was somewhat trustworthy now - and no sooner had the show started before suddenly the room was a mess of sparkly grey/blue/green smoke that enveloped them all and whisked them away to who knows where.
“Hmmmm. There’s more of you than I summoned,” a voice declared. “Nevermind, I’m sure this will all work out well.”
*There is an amazingly low number of crossovers between these two shows. So I've decided to go ahead an make a contribution revolving around some of the Monkie Kid characters being forced into Chen's Tournament of Elements. But what Clouse doesn't know is that he has actually threatened and (technically) kidnapped a demon monkey, the successor of a godly demon monkey, the fire controlling son of a demon king, and a dragon wielding the most powerful and deadly flame in the world. I don't think the Tournament will go as smoothly as he originally thought. . .*

All eyes immediately turned to where Batman sat with his arms crossed, looking impassive as always. There was a long moment of silence and the corners of Batman’s mouth turned ever so slightly downward. Finally, in a flat tone of voice that gave no more away than his face ever did, he said, “He’s… well trained. Fast. Could be useful.”

Also known as, the League eventually figured out that Nightwing is Batman's son, but it takes a while.

Clark scooped him up and rocketed into the sky. Jimmy stared at the sunny little flowers as they quickly became nothing more than a minuscule smear of paint below him. The picture his clenching hands snapped while he was hauled off his feet into the sky was a horrendous, impossible blur that rivaled the pictures he’d taken of Clark before he learned all the tricks.
He should be used to this.
He was best friends with a flying man.
“What the actual heck, Clark?” Jimmy sputtered once his heart stopped attempting to reunite with the sweet security of solid ground.
“You have to see this cloud.” Clark replied.
Jimmy hung on as Clark zipped through several clouds, which was both as magical as Jimmy had always dreamed and as mundane as a thick patch of fog creeping over the bay.
And cold.
And windy.
And if he were being honest a little bit damp and miserable, like those drizzly sorts of days when it seemed even the sky was spitting at the world below.
