You loved Steve with your heart, body, and soul. He was caring. Attentive. Sweet. And he took forever to get ready. His showers were twice the length of yours, his hair routine took half an hour on a good day, and every day he’d end up with half his closet on his bed as he tried to piece together the perfect outfit to wear around you.
It was cute. In a dorky way, yeah, but cute.
Watching him fuss when he got ready about how his hair curled and parted. Razing off the moustache that keeps attempting to grow. Rubbing moisturizer into his face. Spritzing his cologne on. Dose of mouthwash sipped, swished, and spat out. Seeing the smile that slipped onto his face when he looped his belt on and you pecked his cheek.
“You look good today.”
Or-- Your lovely boyfriend Steve takes forever to get ready on a good day, let alone an unpreparred day.
