All three of them let out a low moan at both the sight and words. They knew that a proper scene meant all of them in their headspaces together playing. “Okay then I want all three of you to be good big boys for me today. Anyone who disrespects the rules or throws a tantrum will not be allowed to play. You are all big boys right now so no whining when I tell you to get dressed and eat breakfast, okay?” he said, laying out the rules for the day and smiling fondly when they all nodded sincerely.

The wraith has Jaskier pinned under the water for at least a minute when Geralt finally manages to kill the damn thing permanently and haul him out. They’re lucky he had been close to the edge of the frozen lake and not the center; Geralt is not a small man and it would have taken him twice as long to pull Jaskier out without the ice breaking underneath them both.

Geralt squeezed Jaskier’s neck to see if his suspicions were correct. When the bard groaned and arched into the touch, the Witcher understood. “You need this. You need me to take you in hand.”
Jaskier’s eyes began to water and he nodded fervently.
“You’ve been testing my patience and acting up because you want me to respond to you this way, is that so?”
The bard whimpered, but when Geralt gave his neck another squeeze, Jaskier whispered, “yes!”
“So be it.”
