While stuck on Earth, Megatron introduces Shockwave to the new member of the Decepticons. A transformer made on Earth whose entire existence and strange speech pattern catches his attention. Unfortunately, Shockwave is far too emotionally detached from society to realize why the word colleague no longer fits the relationship between them. Soundwave, a mech whose main occupation is to record and store information on everything and anything, wants nothing more than to keep records and files on the estranged scientists who speak highly of experiments that could make anyone purge their tanks. The problem? His only experience of socializing and of acceptable societal norms is through Earth media like television dramas and reality TV.
Meanwhile, Megatron’s grief over an old friend stops him from revealing the truth of his son’s true identity. But keeping secrets seems to run in the family because, despite the numerous chats Soundwave and Shockwave have had, Soundwave failed to mention that his creation was not the same as the other new Decepticons. He had a creator. A creator that Shockwave will have him questioning whether a relationship would even be possible with the mech he sees as more than a colleague.

This is a retelling of Transformers: Rescue Bots with a (hopefully) more mature and realistic theming given to their story. What if Optimus and Megatron had the same origins like in Transformers One but they never met nor knew each other and Megatron in current time (after ES season 1) only knew Optimus when he waged war while Orion Pax was busy fixing up the mess that Megatron started which was the war and ultimately earned him the Matrix.
And because of that, Megatron and Optimus Prime was in each other’s throats when the war started.
And what if that Orion Pax somehow time travelled into the future where he met his future self that has a cog then met Megatron who looked eerily similar to that one “employee of the month” in the mines.
