    Summary

Grace has to handle First Contact with an alien planet with what meager Eridian his one set of vocal chords can make.
This Is Fine. This is totally, completely, utterly fine.

(Grace sounds like a pebble. This, alongside Eridian's extended lifespans, kicks off a chain of misunderstandings that Grace would find utterly mortifying if he knew what the heck was going on.)

    Summary

A series of short fics exploring Grace and Rocky's friendship, among other things. (Each chapter is its own story; I just wanted to have them all in one place.)

Chapter 1: Rocky thinks humans are equally disgusting and cute. Somehow, through it all, Grace reminds him of home.
Chapter 2: Rocky can pick Grace up easily, and Rocky thinks it is very funny. Rocky and Grace tease each other.
Chapter 3: Eridians bring Grace their babies for him to see, and Grace learns about Eridian culture/religion. Grace is also bad at taking compliments.
Chapter 4: Rocky makes Grace celebration jewelry. Later, Grace gets a similar gift from Adrian.
Chapter 5: Grace and Rocky tease each other, and Rocky is introduced to the idea of throwing things at your friends. He decides that humans are odd, but maybe aren't all that bad.
Chapter 6: Grace tries to convince Rocky to swim, but Eridians don’t typically like deep water because they are heavy and will sink/drown. Grace learns about some Eridian mythology.
Chapter 7: Grace talks about the lack of support teachers have on Earth. Rocky is confused by this.

[This has a limit, so new chapters will have their description at the beginning of the chapter instead]

    Summary

Luca Quinn did not agree to go to space.

She agreed to help save the world. She agreed to study astrophage. She agreed to go home when it was over.

Instead, she woke up on a ship in deep space with no Earth in sight, no way back, and nobody left except Ryland Grace; her former coworker, middle school science teacher, and now apparently her only remaining human connection.

Luca is fifteen, grieving, and furious.

And Grace is trying very hard not to become a parent in the middle of the universe.

A canon-divergent found family story set in the world of Project Hail Mary.

    Summary

Every screen in the room blazed with the same breaking news feed. An alien voice had just asked for him by name on live television.

“Mr. Grace?” little Jamal whispered from the front row, eyes huge behind his glasses. “Is that really you they’re talking about? Like, you you?”

Ryland’s mouth opened, but nothing came out. His heart slammed against his ribs like it wanted to escape and hide under the desk with the class hamster. He was just Mr. Grace. The guy who drew cartoon planets on the board, who stayed late helping kids glue together messy dioramas of the solar system, who once spent an entire lunch period comforting a sobbing girl because her goldfish had “gone to the great fishbowl in the sky.” He graded spelling tests on vocabulary words like photosynthesis and asteroid. Aliens did not know his name. Aliens did not ask for science teachers.

The marker slipped from his fingers and clattered to the floor.
