After he and his brother end up in the Mushroom Kingdom, they learn marks like this are common here when his brother Mario gets one the first time he touches Princess Peach. But who could possibly be Luigi’s soulmate, when he could swear he’s never touched anyone from the Mushroom Kingdom before?
In the meantime, Princess Peach is holding a Soccer Tournament to celebrate the latest bout of peace between her and Bowser’s kingdoms. Surely nothing will happen to throw a wrench in her plans . . .

Bitty was getting hot from dancing and needed a quick break, so he slipped on some shoes and headed out to the back porch. He only intended to stay out there for a few minutes, maybe seconds even, since it was December after all, but as he was standing there, he heard a strange hacking noise coming from around the side of the house. It was probably someone throwing up, because this was an Epikegster, but Bitty felt like he should probably check to see if whoever it was was okay, especially if they were one of the team or something. He rounded the corner of the Haus hesitantly, and instead of a teammate or another college student, he found . . . Kent Parson? Who was having some sort of coughing fit, and the ground around him was littered in rose petals.
AKA Kent Parson has had Hanahaki Disease since the draft, and Bitty finds him coughing up flower petals after the Epikegster

As the door opened Tim quickly disabled another three separate electronic sensors in the doorjamb by swiping them with a device that looked a bit like a thumb drive. “Walk where I walk,” he said.
He took a big step over the doormat, eyed the floor carefully, then took a careful skipped sidestep to another mat against the right-hand wall, where he removed his shoes.
“What the hell?” whispered Jason, still standing in the open doorway.
Tim pointed up. There was a net rigged up on the ceiling. “Pressure pads under the carpet.”
“I repeat, what the hell?”
After Tim completely derails Jason’s beatdown attempt by asking him for a hug, Jason’s first priority is to get this touch-starved kid more cuddles. Tim’s first priority is to avoid Dick’s traps.
Jason learns a lot about his brothers and what happened while he was away, and something about himself too.

Jason clocks every tiny flicker as Clint’s eyes catch on the hooked scar on his cheek, the paper-thin white line across his throat, and the deep swath of skin that’s exposed by his shirt.“You don’t gotta go,” he says, and wow, James isn’t the only one with a practiced, panty-dropping accent. The twang has all but disappeared, replaced by something warm and husky that immediately brings tousled sheets and bare skin to mind. His shirt is sticking to him like a second skin, revealing peaked nipples and abs that are borderline obscene.
Jason freezes halfway off the barstool, the toes of his right foot barely on the ground.
Clint hooks his chin over James’ shoulder and looks Jason over even more thoroughly – and the first glance hadn’t been anything like careless. He hums as his eyes drag over where the wool of Jason’s pants has stretched tightly over his thighs. His hands creep around James’ waist, settle on his hips. He tilts his head a little, still evaluating Jason - for what, he doesn’t know.
“Oh,” he says, a handful of seconds later, sounding delighted. Like he’s discovered a secret. “This is the guy.”
