    The only thing more dangerous than outing Ilya is giving Shane a reason to fight.

    Harris stared at the screen. A Family Feud-style showdown between Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, featuring their actual families, best friends, and chaotic teammates? And Wyatt Hayes? Their Wyatt? How would Ilya have known him back then? The Raiders and the Centaurs weren’t friendly teams back then, were they? And why had the network scrubbed this from existence?

    “Gil—” J.J. says, but Shane doesn’t want him to finish that sentence, to pull Comeau gently off the ledge he’s steering himself toward. Shane wants to push him, kicking and screaming, to make them say it to his fucking face. That after all this time, they still hate him for the heinous crime of falling in love.

    “We’ve been married for two years,” Shane says. “I’m not sure that qualifies as playing house. I mean, it’s longer than you were with your first wife, isn’t it?”

    Or: Shane reunites with his former teammates at J.J.'s bachelor party. He's finally ready to say (and maybe punch) his piece.

    Excellent story about what happens after. Great characterization and believable. Highly recommended.

    But if, for some reason, you don't read the story (your loss!), know THIS. Because this should be CANON:

    Something that most people don’t realize about Shane is he knows how to throw a punch. When he was fifteen, his mother sat him down and taught him how.

    THis story is truly amazing. Lines and paragraphs which were exciting, moving, funny, broke my heart. Gorgeous writing. 💗✍️

    And ILYA. In character, true to canon, but letting us see parts of him even he is only just coming to realize. Fantastic character study! (And it's just a cameo appearance, but yes, Yuna, too!)

    I honestly LOVE this! I have to say that Lucius does seems to tad OOC, but that's okay. Prison can change a person, right?

    As far as being normal - aka, "like everyone else" goes:

    He was safe, secure, loved and honest with himself. He had a home he'd built, he had company and unconditional love.

    Maybe he was fucked up still. Maybe they all were.

    But he was happy. As far as Harry was concerned, all was fucking magnificent and he would not change it for anything.

    And THAT is a TRULY Happy Ending! 💗
