Sansa is eleven years old when her grandmother dies.
It's a balmy spring day, and she sits on the porch swing with mom, with Arya on the other side, rocking gently. A gentle breeze catches the strands of her hair, and Sansa closes her eyes. When she opens them again, she watches a butterfly flutter towards her. It settles in her hair, and she holds her breath and doesn't move. Mom pauses in her reading, brows furrowed, right before the phone rings inside. Right before they find out.
