Sherlock era così bello e così spezzato. James poteva vedere le crepe nella sua mente che cercavano di ricomporsi e poi si incrinavano di nuovo. E lui riusciva soltanto a fissarlo, diviso tra il bisogno di aggiustare subito quelle fratture, per farlo tornare integro, e l’innominabile desiderio di lasciarlo andare in pezzi, solo per vederlo crollare ed essere colui che lo avrebbe raccolto e ricomposto.
«Lasciala andare, Sherlock,» sussurrò, prendendo infine la bottiglia dalla sua mano per appoggiarla sulla mensola accanto a loro. «Puoi lasciarla andare, adesso.»Il suo desiderio mutò con la stessa rapidità con cui la luce dei fulmini rischiarava la notte.
Voleva prendere Sherlock tra le braccia.
Voleva stringerlo a sé finché non avesse smesso di piangere e tremare.
Voleva posare le labbra sulle sue. Sentire il sapore del whiskey e delle lacrime dalla sua bocca.
Voleva sapere cosa si provava ad avere il suo corpo contro al proprio, a dividere con lui l’intimità di un rapporto carnale, oltre a quello mentale.
