    katara could feel the full moon in her veins. she had always struggled to describe the sensation of energy purring under the veil of her skin. the delicious, buzzing fizz that grabbed eagerly at the world around her. an endless longing met and merged along the height of her blood, sweet and sharp to taste. there was little that she could not do, nor struggled to control when she gave over to the moon.

    Fire Lord Zuko visits the Southern Water Tribe to discuss trade. Katara is alone there, untethered, struggling to find her footing in adulthood without Aang. The winter has left her feeling isolated as she focuses solely on memories and the deep need within her.
