Summary
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a mission he doesn't remember volunteering for. Alone on a ship scaled far too large for a borrower, he has to try to figure out why he's so far from home, and what he's supposed to do. On top of that, he needs to figure out why this mission is so prepared to have a borrower on the crew--standing at only six inches tall, it's easy to think none of this was meant for him. And yet, everywhere he looks he finds evidence that whoever built this ship built it with both humans and borrowers in mind.
An impossible task looms over him. A scientific mystery has somehow sent him hurtling through space, impossibly far from any other human or borrower, and it's on him to surpass an extinction-level threat that doesn't care how big someone is. It will end the world all the same if he doesn't do something about it.
But, despite what he thinks, he's not alone.

Summary
Two aliens meeting in Tau Ceti is a mysterious stroke of fate, brought about by the shared threat of extinction.
The third alien, quite frankly, is just trying to write a paper for his thesis, and didn't expect to encounter anyone else in this system.

Summary
"Why do you keep doing that?" I asked.
"What?"
"Since we came back from our last mission, you have touched your data port on average once every 44 minutes, excluding the times when you were asleep. That isn't normal."After Murderbot had to hold Gurathin down and rip out his data port on a mission, they both have to contend with the fact that they liked it more than they probably should. Maybe they even liked it so much that they want to do it again.

Summary
TL;DR: Murderbot accidentally discovers Gurathin’s native language gives it robo-ASMR and proceeds to torture him about it. Also, there are chickens.
Submitting as a WIP for Day 4 of Murderbot Maladies Event 2026, minor malady: "Accidentally saying something embarrassing in a foreign language"
(The major malady here is colonialism, I suppose, but that wasn’t on the list)
(Also Gurathin’s entire life is a malady, so)The fic is inspired by the book line about Gurathin saying something that Murderbot could not understand, but it doesn’t follow the books' canon. Set some months after S1 finale, after Murderbot comes to Preservation.

Summary
I had slipped from one group of disembarking travelers to another, fully planning on getting a new set of clothes (you could never be too careful and the concept of shopping was still a novel one), when the message pinged into my semi-public feed.
I see you, SecUnit.
Not the most threatening message I had ever received, but by far the most ominous one.or in which, a rogue CombatUnit meets a ComfortUnit with an audacious plan, relationships are navigated and security systems hacked (the latter more easily than the former), and a heist that will likely (>89%) end with all parties scrapped for component parts
