The idea had first been planted in his mind by a conversation he’d overheard between two people in the University District. They say the Queen of Ravka has a Grisha servant who alters her appearance, makes her look younger and more beautiful, one of them had whispered. The other had gasped, like it was the most scandalous thing they’d ever heard.
The stranger’s words had looped in his mind ever since. Grisha could alter people’s appearances. A Grisha could potentially alter Kaz’s appearance.

All the faces in the room turned to him and he could see the mood change immediately in a way that made his stomach twist. The silence wasn't a comfortable one anymore. He saw Jesper and Inej exchange looks, and Nina and Matthias stare at him with open confusion. Wylan looked at his boyfriend for whatever reason. And there was something else on all of their faces. They were all looking at him like he had a screw loose.

Today was a bad day for leonardo. Hes had bad days before and always hides them. He doesnt understand why hes so stressed out, why he cant speak, why everything is just too loud and bright and disgusting horrible textures oh my god- its fine he can hide it. Its just weaknesses!
Until he cant hide and his family finds out. His brothers find out theres something wrong with him. Donnie comes to a conclusion, and explains to him that there isnt anything wrong with him,Hes just autistic, and thats okay.
