“What did you do, Red?” Doughnut popped the last piece of crust in his mouth and licked his fingers.
“Whad’ya mean what did I do?” Reno sat up and made a quick assessment: itchy, gross, light-headed. His stomach growled at him. He should’ve eaten the pizza when he’d had the chance. He eyed Doughnut with irritation.
“Mina said Shinra are asking about you.” Doughnut wiped his hand on his jacket. “I just came from hers.”
“Mina wouldn’t talk to you if you paid her. And what the fuck d’ya mean Shinra are asking about me?”
“Yeah, Shinra went and spoke to Mina about you.” Doughnut leaned forward and dropped his voice to a conspiratorial whisper. “And not helmets, neither. Suits.”
“Suits?” Reno said, blankly. And then, with a dawning horror, “Wait, you don’t mean…?”
