    So, I'm trying something a little different with this new installment in the series, and I know it won't be everyone's cup of tea.

    As much as I adore M/M, I've always wanted to throw my hat into the very small pool of Female!Shane/Male!Ilya stories. I've also been itching to write the actor!Shane trope for quite some time, so I finally decided to combine the two.

    Another reason I wanted to write this fic is that, while I absolutely love exploring Shane's Japanese heritage, I realized I've been neglecting Ilya's Russian heritage throughout this series. I wanted to give that side of him more attention here and explore it in a way I haven't before.

    With Apollo having a young Prophet at camp he was finial able to talk his father into getting a magic border for the camp, which saves Thalia's life. When the lighting blot is stolen, their was debate about if they should also send Thalia out to look since she is also one of the kings kids or if their need to keep this a secret out waded their need for help. As time went on the more the demigod noticed that something was wrong and it all come to a head when Annabeth gets feed up over not knowing and set off to find answers, witch has the unintended consequences of having Percy give a prophecy and getting Thalia send on quest.

    God don't have DNA so they can adopt a demigod. Most gods don't adopt expect for Apollo and the water gods. The waters gods have to fight to claim any child, if they want a kid they get a kid by any means. Having one of their own or stealing it, it doesn't matter to them. In some cases a adoption fight between the bio parent and the challenger goes on long enough that the demigod shows up at a camp and needs to be claimed and both immortals get some claim over their child. The one in the lead gets recognized as the godly parent while the losing immortal gets known as a ancestor making the child a demigod and a legacy. Most gods think that adoption is an Apollo thing since he is a protector of youth and thinks that is one of the best ways to protect kids and have no idea what is going on with the sea gods. So no one knows that Percy has been adopted and Poseidon hasn't told Sally that it was a thing that could happen because he was sure that he could fend off any challengers because he didn't think that Styx would get involved.
