Nico sighed. The kind of sigh Jason did when the rest of Camp wasn’t taking their duties seriously. The sigh of someone who knows what they’re talking about.
Jason stopped in front of him. He studied Nico’s face.
“I’ll let you stay,” Jason said.
Nico hummed. “Boy, thanks.”
“Conditionally.”Nico tilted his head at him expectantly. Jason felt compelled to go on.
“You will be my eyes and ears. I’ve seen how to melt into the shadows. I know you can teleport at will.” Jason said, watching the sass melt off Nico as he realized just how much he had been observed.

Summary
As Nico says the words, Jason has that feeling again. The feeling that Jason has when something’s familiar, like he did when he first looked at Nico’s face.
“Nico, have you told me that before?”
Jason’s sure that no one’s told him that since he was found at the Grand Canyon. No one’s given him comforting words like this, not Piper, not Leo. Not anyone.
“Maybe.”
“I remember it,” Jason furrows his brows. He tries to think back when he first heard the words that Nico just said, where he heard the first call that became an echo. Jason rubs his eyes; a headache might be coming his way from trying to think that hard about things he can’t possibly remember. “Gods, I wish I could remember it.”
Nico nods, but he’s frowning.
“I wish you could too.”

Erik considered the predicament for a moment, a small crease forming between his brows, before he came to sit beside Pietro on the soft bed. With a graceful curl of his hand, the metal rim of his boots that allowed for levitation shifted and warped under his magnetic grasp, forming into a set of sharp, skating blades to match Pietro’s.
