“Status?” Red Robin barked, ducking under gunfire to swing his staff out at the last few opponents.
“Bleeding quickly… it's bad. Surgery, hospital bad." Nightwing’s voice came out in a hiss as he failed to open the compartment of his belt with one hand.

Summary
Bruce Wayne has been benched following an injury. After completing his backlog of work, he escapes the overprotective eyes of his family by pursuing a mystery in Metropolis. Namely, a reformed Lex Luthor, recently returned to the public eye. Luthor's quiet new image is at odds with the LexCorp technology found in the possession of Harley Quinn. With Luthor's technology rivaling his own, the only way to get close is physically. Something his playboy persona is very good at.
With all this time away from Gotham someone might think Bruce is avoiding it... -

Lex Luthor came to drink and stop thinking. Instead he's locked in a dirty closet with his uptight roommate. His irritatingly hot, aloof roommate, who might let him let off some steam.

Lex smirked, pulling on his false confidence, “See if sex loosens us up. You always want to test things don’t you?” He made sure to say it with a light tone, easily interpreted as a joke.
He watched as Wayne’s face went pink. Lex swallowed, unsure if he was upset or thrilled to have another image to think of in the shower.

"Steph was used to an absent parent being compensated for.Maybe Bruce could do that too. He was pretty terrible at emotions. He’d nail the role of her mother forgetting her in her drug haze, except he’d forget her over Batman."
