Normally a pack of feral, irradiated looters was no match for the Ghoul but Lucy had recklessly gotten in the way and Cooper had unexpectedly risked his life to save hers. The Ghoul was now out of commission with huge gaping bloody ragged wounds through both his chest and shooting hand. His prized pistol was also destroyed, which he was devastated over. With Cooper gravely injured, there was no time to loot for additional weapons and the knives that Lucy had on her weren’t going to cut it. They were rendered pretty much completely defenseless until Cooper had time to heal. Lucy held on tight to the Ghoul’s sticky blood soaked glove and searched frantically for an escape route with the sadistic looters hot on their heels firing shots at them that clipped the ground near their feet.
