    It was like his whole body was set aflame from the inside. Like every single bone was fighting for freedom, to escape his skin. His hands, skull, elbows, knees, all of it was in an immense amount of agony that he'd experienced in his life. The sound of clicking and crunching and ripping filled his ears.

    The worst part of all of this was the fear. Logan didn't understand what was happening or what was causing the pain he was in. Through his steadily closing eyes and his blurry vision - where were his glasses? - he could just make out the outline of Virgil's face and the visible panic there.

    Logan wakes up with amnesia and transforms into a werewolf all in one evening. In front of his best friend Virgil, who he has no memory of and who doesn't know he's a werewolf.
