    After finding out each other's identities, superhero and mutant, Grian and Scar learn to forgive and mostly forget.

    Grian has a lot going on. Recovery, being hired to work with Scar as partners, exploring the undercity more than before. As well as his normal life issues, school work, therapy, juggling his love life as well as moving.

    Scar just wants to be there to support his boyfriend through everything he can. Mood swings, anger issues, fits of violence and rage, and show Grian he can still be loved through everything's he's gone through.

    The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.

    “I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”

    With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.

    This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.

    “Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

    Grian is a vet. After a chance encounter in the dead of night, during which he accidentally saves a villain from the brink of death, he suddenly finds himself entangled in a world beyond anything he could've ever imagined.

    Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

    The fire in his hand burns bright.

    Humans by nature follow the man who shows his confidence, the man who enters a situation with a plan, a clear head. Scar wears his confidence like a mask, clear and obvious, and striking to anyone’s eye. He looks at his men with a spark in his eye, one of danger and self-assuredness.

    “Do what I say, and we’ll all make it out of here alive.”
