Summary
It's been millennia since the emergence of the mamono. The Order is losing, even if they won't admit it. The mamono lord is closing on her goal of rewriting reality to allow male children to be born from mamono, and the Chief God is weakening more and more. And all that pressure is suddenly put on Nicolas Sorin, the Chief God's newest Hero.
Heroes are supposed to be nothing more than extra tantalizing husbands, but sometimes one chooses to rise above that fate, no matter how miserable it makes them.
