“He needs a mate,” he stated candidly, holding Wei Wuxian’s eyes a fraction of a second too long.
Wei Wuxian found himself rendered a bit speechless, “Um… A mate? I thought you said he was neutered?”
“What’s a mate, Baba?” A-Yuan turned to question.
The beautiful man responded, likely noticing Wei Wuxian floundering, “A mate is someone you choose to love and spend your time with.” He tilted his head to acknowledge Wei Wuxian’s question, “Rabbits are communal creatures. They crave constant company, even if… procreation is out of the question.” Those ears flushed a deeper pink. He looked back to A-Yuan, “A mate is like your Mama and Baba.”
“A-Yuan only has a Baba though,” the child said, looking down with a thoughtful look on his face. “Does that mean Baba needs a mate too?”
When newly-adopted rabbit Suibian starts acting strange, Wei Wuxian and A-Yuan bring him to their local rabbit rescue. The difficult yet beautiful owner, Lan Wangji, offers his matchmaking services. But when the bunny bonding goes wrong and Lan Wangji finds Suibian snuggled up with his pet rabbit, Bichen, Wei Wuxian offers a spur of the moment solution...
