“To be human is to feel,” Illuga says, definitively. “To be human is to hurt, to bleed, to cry. And then wake up the next day and do it again. Wake up a thousand times and do it again, knowing that the pain doesn’t stop.”
Flins’ gaze is piercing. “Why?”
“Because if we can still feel pain, we can still feel joy.”
Illuga thinks he knows what it means to be human. He has a few things to learn.

Summary
Lohen falling in love with Varka wasn't something he had ever seen coming.
Coughing flowers up because the man in question didn't love him back? Even less so.
If there was one thing he knew for certain, it was that no one could know about the cecilias in his lungs, and certainly not Varka. Sneak out, fight monsters, avoid the reason behind the flowers... it seemed easy.
Somehow, he managed to mess up something that should have been so simple. In hindsight... he should have known better.
Nothing was ever easy when Varka was concerned.

"I have a few questions.” That man was the one who had personally encountered the Sinner multiple times before Rerir even regained his body, then fought him just as many times more and where Lohen had failed, Flins prevailed.
He needed to know why.
Acokanthera — a genus of flowering plants in the family Apocynaceae which comprises 5 species. Its sap contains the deadly toxin ouabain, a glycoside that causes heart failure. The sap is among the most commonly used in arrow poisons.

Summary
In his role as a Nod Krai ambassador, Illuga is invited to a Snezhnayan gala, hosted by a well-known fae noble. Flins takes this information rather badly indeed, visions of the old Court’s revels imprinted indelibly on his mind.
But how can he convince his young master that Flins must attend for Illuga’s own protection? It appears that the time has come at last for Flins to reveal his true nature to the one whose opinion he treasures above all else.
(Needless to say, the presence of the reclusive Azure Flame leads to a highly successful diplomatic attendance.)

"It also isn't a pleasant reminder– seeing all these new hormonal faces– when he knows Illuga is among their ranks during those times. Any one of them could be covered in Illuga’s scent and he wouldn't know. They could have sunk their claws or teeth into him, they could be saturating his life with their presence.
Flins by no means had any real desire to change Illuga, but he did selfishly wish the consumption of his thoughts were mutual. He did so deeply wish for his kin’s infamy to escape him, so he did not feel so strangely guilty about the depths of his obscenity. It came back to haunt him every day they spent apart. He couldn't fight it even if he wanted to, even if his face seemed unchanging."
(Flins finally gets Illuga to himself, for once. He takes full advantage of this.)

Bloodthirsty, is what is said amongst the gossipers of Mondstadt, the words of a friend of a friend within the Ordo Knights.
Strict, some of the fifth company whisper, shivering as they think back to their drills and training sessions.
Mad, is what is widely agreed upon, citizens and knights alike, when they see how long he spends on the battlefield, and how he returns drenched in blood, sometimes his own.
What he definitely isn’t is lonely. Just alone. And don’t they always say that to be the best is to stand alone?

Summary
Varka’s blue eyes always catch him off guard. Lohen used to not like it, when Varka sized him up with that gaze. But as time went on, Lohen craved it. He wants Varka to always look at him, chasing him with his eyes, placing Lohen in the center of his regard. It is, he knows, a dangerous want.
What’s surprising to him is that Varka does indulge him. Cardinal Seamus and Anselm hate Lohen for it. Varka’s blatant favoritism has not gone unnoticed, it seems. But the man himself doesn’t seem to care much.
Or, a quiet moment between Varka and Lohen when Lohen is in solitary confinement.

"Uh, what are you doing?" Lohen's eyes narrow as he watches Varka's every move.
Varka pauses at the question, brows knitting together, as if perplexed. "What does it look like? I'm offering you first aid," he says. "I may not be as skilled as our medics or healers, but I can at least make sure you don't bleed out all over my desk."
"And why are you doing that?" Lohen frowns some. Varka is just one of those people he thinks he'll never really understand. Again, an enigma. Shouldn't he be pushing Lohen out the door right now? Ordering him to get medical attention (not that he'd listen, even if he did)?
"Because you're refusing to see a medic," Varka answers, simple and to the point. "It's my job as the Grand Master to make sure my knights are in top shape and taken care of."
"I don't recall personally tending to your subordinate's scrapes being a part of your job description."
"Hah! So now you want to talk about job descriptions eh, Vice Captain?"

Illuga blinked. "Do you not see it?"

"I mean--" Illuga gestured vaguely.
"No way." Lohen groaned, "hey, Aedon, you don't think I look like this idiot here too, do you?"
Aedon looked at Lohen, then Lohen the bunny, and then threw himself into Illuga's lamp.Or: after Lohen left Nod Krai, Illuga adopted a bunny to cope with the loneliness. But there's one problem: he accidentally named the bunny Lohen and the bunny would not respond to any other name.

“You know,” Nikita says casually, standing up as he gathers the remaining reports from the table. “Most people just talk to the person they like instead of stalking them.”
Lohen looks away at once. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he replies stiffly.
The Starshyna gives him an odd, sidelong glance. “Really. And what about the Wild Hunt corpses you leave piled outside of Cliffwatch Camp everyday?”
Lohen tilts his head ever so slightly, feigning ignorance. “What are you talking about?”

It might actually work if he didn’t accidentally say things that sound far more flirtatious than intended, insult Illuga, and threaten murder.
Not in that exact order.
But maybe the flirting is exactly as intended.

Lohen could not help but to wipe away his tears, smoothing out the wet tracks with his thumb. He wanted to kiss away his sorrows and replace that mournful pout with a radiant smile; one he has had the pleasure of seeing again and again, surrounded by Lightkeepers, or in their solo encounters during patrol. One that he wished to own in its entirety.
But he couldn’t. Not right now. Not when neither of them could even put a sense or a name to whatever relationship they have right now. He’s losing so much blood. But he’ll recover. He’s sure of it. After all, he has to stay alive to get the chance to properly court this lovely nightingale, so caring and concerned for him. It just wouldn’t do for a knight slated to inherit the title of benevolence to break such a sweet man’s heart.
But you couldn’t even save yourself. How could you ever hope to protect him?
