    Summary

Mr Darcy's mind finds the dust and disorder of his family library annoying, so he places an advertisement in the Times for an 'accomplished young lady' to administer it and fulfil the role of companion to his little sister Georgiana, who is but fifteen.

Fortuitously Miss Bennet, now four and twenty and consequently losing hope that an eligible suitor will transpire, is referred by her pater to said advertisement, under their tacit agreement that something must be done about their domestic finances.

Consequently the arrogant and self righteous Darcy is propelled into headlong flight towards the pert opinions and moral outrage of the prejudiced and sensitive Miss Bennet.

Shall their predestined, star-crossed meeting produce scenes that will be unpleasant to more than a few? And what of the dark and lurking Wickham, who enjoys making sermons? (or claims to enjoy making sermons).

And more disturbingly, are all those vaunted first editions authentic?
And if they are not, who is going to inform his holiness Mr Darcy, for whom the collection is a matter of profound family importance?

    Summary

Elizabeth Bennet always liked drawing, but her mother considered it an unnecessary skill for a young lady. Her father, thankfully, disagreed. ~~~
When Mr. Bennet passes away the family hopes rest on Jane. Elizabeth introduces her sister to eligible men by using her as a chaperone when she is commissioned to paint at grand estates.
Meanwhile, after a disastrous season in London, Georgiana Darcy retreats to Pemberley determined to think of nothing but music until the day she dies. Lady Catherine de Bourgh begins a ruthless campaign to bring her niece back into the social fray. Her first step is to have Georgiana’s portrait painted, to be displayed at Rosings Park. Elizabeth is unwittingly brought into the centre of Georgiana’s plans for freedom.

    Summary

Rather than simply never speaking her to again after Elizabeth refuses Mr. Collins, Mrs. Bennet casts her out of the house. No one is to allow her back in or even go search for her. As Elizabeth formulates a plan, a storm blows through Hertfordshire, bringing with it torrential rains and heavy winds, which fell trees and topple fences, not to mention drench the ground, making any kind of travel impossible. Caught out in the woods, Elizabeth is struck by a fallen tree searching for shelter and found by Mr. Darcy the next morning, but she has no idea who she is, where she is, or what happened to her. As she recovers and her memories slowly begin to return, unsure of who or what to believe, Elizabeth places her trust in her rescuer, who is all too happy to protect her when outside influences seek to manipulate and control her. Yet Mr. Darcy knows they can never be, but that doesn't stop him from falling deeper in love with her, and her with him. When she finally gets her memories back, what will Elizabeth do?

    Summary

“You are a fool of a man, Thomas Hayward.” Mary stated but she did not attempt to hide the affection in her tone.

“I am a man who loves his wife, Mary Hayward.” He responded and it seemed as if that was all that was needed, for his wife sighed in the poorest attempt at irritation he had ever heard, and began to read aloud.

He truly was a weak man for Mary Hayward.
