He was captured at the age of 3 and the memories of those 10 years, trapped in a concrete prison, still haunt him to this day. The countless pain he would have inflicted on him on a daily basis, the nightmares, the shocks, the lack of any care and love, it all left a scar on him.

In other words, Tommy tries to ignore and push through an episode of sensory overload because he's streaming with Techno. Obviously Techno notices and takes it upon himself to help the boy. (The blood god is softer than he lets on)

He thinks of Sam and Ponk as his family. He thinks of Dream, George and Sapnap as his brothers. He thinks of Ranboo as his best friend. He was used to being ignored and left alone. This all changed when one day he walked past an alleyway and saved a dog's life.
