Summary
Brown eyes filled with both shame and curiosity peer over the magazine and towards the bed where Bruce is currently hunched over his notebook (again), scribbling away as though his very life depends on it. He writes a line then scratches out something higher up the page. He stares at his words, then circles something else.
“I’m takin’ a shower,” Stevie declares, haphazardly tossing the magazine onto the table in the corner of the room. Though his muscles feel stiff from the awkward position he’s been lounging in for the past hour, he’s not about to stretch and draw too much attention to himself. The last thing he needs is for Bruce to notice he’s hard.
… But that would require his friend to even look at him right now, and Bruce is much too focused on whatever song he is or was writing, and it doesn’t seem like he’ll be joining the rest of the world anytime soon. Most of the time, Bruce’s focus can drive Stevie mad.
Tonight, he’s grateful for it.
