Toji’s tongue darts out to wet his lips, his eyes dark and sharp, and then he asks, “Got some other way I can make it up to you?”
Shiwoo exhales. He finds the ashtray on the table and taps the ashes into it blindly, keeping his eyes on Toji, and touches the fingers of his free hand to Toji’s ankle as he reclines back.
“Maybe,” he says, taking another drag.

“I said we go in quietly, and we leave quietly!” There’s no warning whenever the Lieutenant raises his voice. Soap thinks of the big cats on the discovery channel, sitting and waiting for their next kill. “What fucking part of that says throw a grenade at a hostile?”
So he shrugs. “It worked.”
What he doesn’t expect is a mean right hook that connects with his jaw. His head snaps to the side before the pain blossoms out, and he stumbles back. Ghost had a temper, but it was rare he ever lost it. Soap was reactive, a mix of chemicals just waiting for a match.

Soap's nauseous about his mistake, of course, and worried about the consequences. And he’s a little turned on, sure; that’s not new when it comes to watching Ghost throw all that power around.
But also—Soap recognizes, with pathetic resignation—he’s jealous.
Jealous of the random guy Ghost just knocked out and choked unconscious.
