“I did.” She runs a hand through it, tousling the short layers.
“This morning?”
“Literally just before. I told you I had an appointment.”
“Yeah, but I didn’t think…” she trails off, standing up slowly. She puts her glasses on the side table before her hands go to Trinity’s shoulders and start playing with the strands at the base of her neck. “Fuck. You look so hot.”

Summary
Trinity swears, grunting as blood makes its way down her neck and to her suit, mixing in with the dark red of it. She reaches up to remove her mask, her identity now safe in the consolation of Yolanda’s eminently organized and neat room. Trinity lowers her arms to her sides when suddenly a surge of pain shoots across her shoulder and torso. Trinity curses again and thinks to herself that some “spidey healing,” as Whitaker likes to call it, would be delightful right now.
“Trin?” Yolanda’s voice immediately causes calmness to wash over Trinity and makes her forget about the injuries that she had just received not even an hour ago. Trinity realized early on into their relationship that Yolanda always had that effect on her.
