The invasion goes a little differently than Sokka would have hoped: namely, he's sitting in a cell with the Prince of the Fire Nation, his hands are chained behind his back, and his shoulder is probably dislocated.
Oh, and it seems the universe hates him, because his dad can't even give him a proper hug. So yeah. He's doing great.

That is until the Fire Nation sends him a child to marry, and there is no way in hell that is happening.
