“I can’t stop thinking about you,” Glinda says so, so quietly. So quietly that Elphaba can barely hear the confession over the press of the rain on the roof. It’s an out, Elphaba realizes. She can pretend she never heard her admission, they can ride out the storm and then go back to being people who flirt harmlessly with each other. Glinda’s giving her the option to ignore it all.
Or she can do the messy thing, the tricky thing, and acknowledge it.
_________Sir Chuffrey's wife hires Elphaba to be their landscaper so she can flirt with her. It gets out of hand.
