A reimagining of "The Fall of the House of Usher" by Edgar Allan Poe.

    Excerpt:

Aziraphale—his sweet, lovely angel. He looks tired, even paler than usual, dark circles under his deep grey eyes, that rosy blush missing from his thinner face. He looks like a ghost of his former self; just like this dark, crumbling manor.

Aziraphale had never been afraid of the dark.

Or things that went bump in the night.

Or even the weirdly shaped hand that often emerged from under his bed from time to time.

Whereas some would've run for the hills or burned their whole house down, Aziraphale had honestly found the strange creature's company oddly comforting.

A short little fic where Crowley is the monster living under Aziraphale's bed and they fall in love (because of course they do)

    Summary

Fiery, star-like beings keep the Goddess' universe in perfect order, but it can be disastrous when they fall to Earth. Frightened and panicked, they light fire to anything they touch, destroying everything in their wake. The elves have learned to fear them, thinking them monsters who occasionally come to burn and kill.

When a meteor knocks Crowley into Earth's gravity well, he helplessly falls on the chalk hills outside of Aziraphale's village. Now, if he's to stay alive long enough to figure out how to escape Earth's gravitational field, he needs to convince Aziraphale that "monster" is in the eye of the beholder, and he's not what legend has made him out to be.
