Summary
Megatron froze as he felt Optimus’s servo inside his chassis tug at the energon line and a fresh gush of the fuel escaped him as it tore further. Their optics met and held. Megatron’s had widened in shock for a moment before narrowing again in calculation. Optimus’s optics were round in shock and fear as his life was held in Megatron’s servo just as the other’s was held in his.
“Well,” Megatron’s voice was rougher than normal as this tableau continued, “we seem to be at an impasse, Autobot.”

Summary
After a less than pleasant squabble over a relic, the two faction leaders find themself in a new place, surrounded by new bots, in a old time. With their options lacking, they have to work together (Primus forbid). Or alternatively, they could commit premeditated murder. Stopping the war may be easier said than done, but Optimus will be damned if he doesn't at least try, even with a certain grey mech leering over him.
One tries to come to terms with old wounds, while the other is hellbent on dismissing them. What could go wrong?

“Sure. I wouldn't want my favorite client to feel alone.” He chuckles as he steps away, turning. It's far more efficient for him to lead, given their height difference. Megatron settles a servo on his shoulder, clasping their servos together while he courteously holds the mech's hip strut.
“I'm your favorite client?” Megatron's gravelly voice sweetens, syrupy as if charmed.
A quiet confession meant for only his personal reference. But, it's already too late anyway. He can curse his engex heavy glossa in the morning. They're at a gala, for Primus sake. He can relax a little. “Yes…I…suppose you are. At the very least, none of my other clients discuss poetry or literature with me.”
Megatron tilts his servo to spin him. “Is that the only reason why I'm your favorite?”
Scoffing, he raises an optic ridge. “Fishing for compliments, Megatron?”
A deep chuckle rumbles through his own engine from their proximity. “Perhaps. I made an effort tonight. It'd be nice to be noticed by my favorite advisor.”

Or, Optimus grows into his designation, learns what it means to love and be loved all while being a functional alcoholic. Chaos ensues.

Finally, Blaze arrives at the crater—and stops dead in her tracks at what she sees. She gasps, her tail puffing up in shock.This is impossible...
Sitting in the center of the crater are two hedgehogs. They are battered and bruised, and covered head to toe in dirt. The black hedgehog is on his knees, coughing, hunched over as if he’s barely able to sit upright. The blue hedgehog he carries is out cold.
Shadow the Hedgehog looks up at her with exhausted red eyes. In his arms, Sonic the Hedgehog does not move.
“Help him...” Shadow rasps at her.
Blaze can only reply with an open-mouthed stare as his eyes slide shut. He collapses sideways, his body slamming into the side of the crater they made in her garden.
All is no longer ‘peaceful,’ it would seem.
