His eyes flicked up to survey the expressions of his opponents, observing their false indifference, and seeing underlying fear. None of them returned his eye contact. None that is, besides the one man who was not playing, whose eyes locked momentarily with Wilbur, giving him a small nod and a crooked smirk. Everything was going to plan.
