Sirius lay back on his mattress and stared at his plain, white ceiling. The bed dipped beside him and he felt a warmth spread alongside the length of his body. It would have been more welcomed, had it been any other person.
“I find it hard to…not think about you,” Sirius started. “You’ve been running around my mind for the better part of a year.”
“And you’ve been doing the same in mine," Severus replied. "Tell me, who do you think started running first?”
Six years after graduating from Hogwarts, Auror Sirius Black is assigned to a strange trail of murders. Various public figures and Ministry Officials are being assassinated throughout the British Wizarding World. With virtually no leads to go off, Sirius hones in on Severus Snape - his old classmate - as a potential suspect.

“There isn’t going to be a next time,” Remus said, pulling on his robe then cloak, and doing up the buttons.
“What?” Both the question and the sincerity of it escaped Severus before he could think better of them. Heat and shame rose to his cheeks as he heard how it sounded, even as the burgundy crushed velvet hanging all along the walls—eaten through in places and giving the effect what went on in the room was watched by hundreds of black, glittering eyes—swallowed the impact of his words. It wasn’t a question so much a fervent denial of what Severus clearly hoped he misheard.
“I’m seeing someone.” Remus said it casually as he finished buttoning his cloak. He looked around Severus where he stood in front of the vanity mirror to fix his hair. “It was fun though. While it lasted.” Remus finished with his hair, didn’t meet Severus’ gaze, refused to look at the expression on his face, turned, and left the boudoir.

A 'feverish haze' was an understatement. Severus loses track of everything. He only needs to wait it out. That's all.
If only... He'd nearly cried out. His throat vibrating with the desperate need to call for help before he'd caught himself. He swallows the sound down. 'If only...' nothing! He will not call for Them. He will not cry out for the Marauders to- what? Come save him? To come 'copulate' with him? No! Absolutely not!(The Marauders decide to stick it to Ol' Snivellus one last time before 7th year's end, but Snape isn't about to roll over for it. That is until they find themselves in the Forbidden Forest, covered in a strange pollen, and with only a few moments of sanity left.
