Four months have passed since the Battle of Hogwarts that put an end to the reign of dark magic in England. The Daily Prophet has slowed reports of everyone’s favourite war heroes, the castle has been rebuilt, and the Golden Trio is slowly moving forward with their lives. Ron is off to America for training, Harry is finding happiness wherever he can, and Hermione eagerly returns to Hogwarts to prepare for her NEWTS. As an independent learner she is afforded a lot of freedom, but after questionable choices at a birthday party she finds herself learning to live side by side with the last person she expected, Severus Snape.

Summary
"'Til death do us part..."
Little did they know that such simple words, said as children during play, would ultimately seal their fate, not only then, but years later. Using a couple of their parents' rings, Tim and Ziva, childhood friends growing up in Israel, hold a pretend wedding ceremony in an abandoned synagogue, unaware of the repercussions their little game has for their lives. Thinking nothing of the words or actions, they later part ways as teenagers, only to reunite years later as adults at NCIS. Unknown to them, someone was watching that long ago day, listening, and took their 'fake wedding' very seriously.

Severus realizes there’s something different about Hermione while helping after being hit by Antonin Dolohov’s curse. Not one to give into whimsical fancies normally his curiosity gets the better of him in this instance. And, all right, maybe trying to prove to whoever was obviously playing a joke on him that he’s done being made a fool of. Except unlike his Dark Mark and scars, no one else knows about this. There is a time-turner in this fic, but not in the usual way and it’s not prevalent.
