    Optimus prefers those interactions. They are the only time someone expresses the truth that he knows all too well. A truth that he knows from the bottom of his pedes to the tips of his finials. That Optimus Prime was not a good mech, that Optimus Prime was a mech who had rivers of circulated energon on his servos; Decepticons he had killed and the Autobots he had sent to battle who never made it back, the innocents (whether they be Cybertronian or otherwise) caught in the crossfire of a war that didn’t involve them. A mech who, despite all the anguish he has caused, gets to walk not only freely, but comfortably in his status (he hates it. He hates it so much–).
