Summary
After years of homeschooling, Nathaniel Mudree, (Mu-de-re), or as his friends call him, N, leaves home to pursue the challenge of college; enrolled in the local college, Bunker Valley University, home of the Copperheads. Being a vampire in a small town can be pretty hard when eyebrows are always raised to the sudden, mysterious disappearances, but N devotes himself to experiencing a normal college student life. His life turns upside down when he meets a particular girl. Loud, edgy, and odd, Uzi Doreman was never popular among her peers and it gets pretty annoying when everyone you've known since elementary school goes to your college. There has only been a few people she can call her friends, but everything is thrown out the window when she meets the “weird homeschooling kid”. Together, these two discover what lurks in their past and deal with the dark, looming threat on this quiet town; while also falling for each other in the process.
