Despite the days and weeks that had rolled along with Randy’s body and its needs and wants and intricacies being discovered and indulged by Benson, Randy still had his moments of insecurity, with one particular pattern in Benson’s behavior being the only thing he’d not disclosed to the man who had gone from coworker to captor to partner. Randy loved window shopping, and despite Benson’s distaste for shopping malls and department stores, he indulged Randy in it; it made him happy, and it allowed Benson a chance to parade him around, to show off the beautiful thing that was not only his but that chose him back. And it was during these outings that Randy noticed the pattern.

Bradley’s breath hitched. He was blushing, the soft skin at his neck flushing under the strip of light. His eyes dropped to Benson’s mouth, a small, almost hungry dart before flicking back up to meet his gaze.
“Thanks,” Bradley tucked a loose curl behind his ear. “I’ll ask my mom tonight.”
Swapping meant he might pick up Bradley’s early shift and snag extra night runs, an extra thirty to fifty a night if he pushed. It meant an extra eighty across a couple of days, enough to keep from pacing in his head for a little while.
It didn't stop the image from popping into his brain though, Bradley in his back seat, eyes peering up at him, wide and open, asking Benson to touch him.
Or, Benson works three jobs to stay afloat and he delivers to Randy's home when he's all alone.

He doesn't know what possesses him, but Benson comes to a dawning realization; Randy Bradley is not fit enough to live his own life. As a kid, he’d avoided athletics like the plague, and he was always the only person he knew to ever take an actual, full shower after gym class all through his middle and high school years. The feeling of having a dried layer of sweat trapping dirt and dry skin against himself made his skin crawl, and he’d often shower multiple times a day in the summer, scrubbing away the damp pungence like a snake crawling from its shed.
But as with most things in Randy’s life, that changed the moment Benson swept him out of their quiet, middle-of-nowhere existence and onto the road.
