Shuichi’s avatar’s face flared up in rage and at the same time a blood vessel icon showed up next to his head. He scoffed and turned to the phone in the salon room. I don’t have time for his lies. We have a potential murder on our hands and he’s asking me this *now*? I’m done with his little games. He picked up the old-looking telephone and pressed the button in the middle of it.
“Shu…” Then his voice trailed off.

Before Xiao can answer, Venti turns and walks inside. He takes the elevator up alone, and when he arrives home, lays down in his own bed. From his small window, he can see the lights of the city, which are darker than usual.
He thinks that maybe the Judge is too sweet for his own good. That if he were human he might be able to look for something else in the way Xiao breathes when he looks at him. There is not anyone in the world who understands Xiao, and there is no one in the world who knows Venti. And Venti’s heart is locked in a metal castle in the center of the city.
He is not human. He is just a little wind spirit.
[A curse is spreading across Teyvat, and Xiao is one of the few humans tasked with keeping corruption from entering Liyue's walls. Venti is a wind spirit trying to find (in the only human words that make sense) the heart that he has lost.

Before they’d gotten together, Xingqiu had made a habit of crashing at Chongyun’s apartment as often as Chongyun would let him. He’d smile and ask to bring their takeout somewhere more private—would sprawl out on Chongyun’s cold wooden floor with blankets and carefully opened boxes of food—and would laugh when Chongyun would ask him when he was planning to head home, for after all: “you’ve got a spare futon, don’t you?” And Chongyun would set him up with a bed on the floor next to his, would listen to Xingqiu tell stories of knights in shining armor and of swordsmen in robes of liquid gold, and they’d fall asleep beneath a sea of stars streaming in through Chongyun’s window.
In which Chongyun and Xingqiu have routines, Xingqiu attempts to break them, and Chongyun won't let him.

It, perhaps, is sappy— but Chongyun was nothing if not a secret hopeless romantic, an accusation he had tried (and failed) many times to deny, but if anything, Xingqiu found the denial almost cuter then the actual characteristic.
A bouquet of roses clutched in one hand, his cheeks burning as pink as the setting sun, the backdrop of Guili plains their only companion. It was beautiful, it was delicate, and it was everything that Xingqiu could’ve hoped for.

“Wait.” Shi Qingxuan reaches out and grabs He Xuan’s arm to pull him to a stop. Quiet, they listen to the stillness. Waiting for...the wind, a bird, an insect to buzz. There is nothing but a quilting silence. “The children say that this monster gives people waking dreams. We need to be vigilant. In case it-”
“I am one of the most powerful ghosts to walk this world,” He Xuan states, voice seething. “Do you really think some reality bending phantom can best me?”
“No-”
“Then, don’t worry. Come on.” He Xuan takes his hand, holding Shi Qingxuan’s fingers in a tight grip. He doesn’t have time to think of how odd it feels to be holding He Xuan’s hand again after all this time. The temple looms above them, a black mark against the red sky, and the door opens wider as they near.
