Summary
There's a pattern, here, one that Josh doesn't want to acknowledge but can't help but notice all the same. Cath and Maggie are both dark-haired women with heart-shaped faces and dark eyes. Nicky is, too. And Pope already commented on her beauty once. He'd sounded full of childlike wonder, but that doesn't comfort Josh, not anymore.
They all look vaguely like his mom, too.
An old acquaintance of the Cody’s drops by and drops some veiled accusations that send Josh spiraling. Meanwhile, tension between Pope and Nicky is building, something Josh simply cannot abide by.

As Dana strides down the hospital stairs, she’s hoping to find Dr. Robby. However, when she turns the corner on the stairwell landing, Dr. Robby is not who she finds. She slams to a stop immediately, sneakers squeaking on the linoleum floor, and it takes her a long moment to process what she's seeing. In a dim corner on the next landing down are Langdon and Mel. Dana is far enough away that she can’t hear what they're murmuring to each other, but she can see well enough to catch how close they’re standing, and how Mel is looking up softly at Langdon, and how Langdon is running his hands up and down Mel’s arms in a comforting gesture, and -
Good god, Langdon and Mel just kissed.

Something passes over Robby’s expression, quick and fleeting before it’s gone, an emotionless mask left on his face. She used to think he had kind eyes. She’s not sure anymore.
“Okay,” Robby says. “Prove it to me.”
He leaves. Her fingers won’t stop trembling. She thinks of her father again. She’s always thinking of her father. Would Robby have saved him? She doesn’t know.
