ddie pulled his hands away, recollecting himself. “You had a plan? A plan to tell me you’re in love with me?” he asked, eyeing Richie. At his sheepish nod, he wheezed, taking a quick puff from his inhaler. “And step one of your plan was to date a girl?! ”
Now it was Richie’s turn to pause. “It… um. I had reasons?”
“Stupid! Dumbass! Fucking! Asshole!” Eddie scolded, back to smacking him in the chest. He scowled at Richie’s laughter before pushing him gently. “You are fucking stupid! What the fuck?! I’m so fucking mad at you; you’re going to owe me for fucking years, asshole! Dick! Fuckface! What fucking reason did you have?!”
“I didn’t know if you liked me back!” Richie pleaded, lost on Eddie, who was still crying out various swears and insults.

This is what I imagined what would have happened if season 1 never happened
…Maybe he should’ve stayed in the hunting business. He could’ve worked with Dean alone, and put his talents to better use. John was a horrible father and a merciless piece of shit when it came to non-humans, but at least he’d done some good in the world, saving hundreds of lives in his time. Dean was better by far, taking his dad’s crusade and turning it into something honestly fucking honorable. Sam, by contrast, hasn’t done jack shit to save anyone lately, despite having the knowledge and training it would take to do so.
